Jena, Dom, Nyssa and Lore are visiting their desert elf friends, Berrin and Nye in the Scorched Desert. They go on a journey to a far southern oasis and here discover a dying human man. He is one of Eldor's long lost kin and before he dies, he warns them of the Tomb of Racos. Then Jena, Nyssa, Lore and Nye are captured by boglins, creatures that guard the tomb.

Now Dom and Berrin must go after them. But the tomb lies in the unknown jungle lands across the Dead Sands, a vast salt plain blasted by the desert sun. Can they rescue their friends before they face their doom in the Tomb of Racos?
